In the Room
The main attraction is of course the fantastic nature park. We had two wonderful days walking through the fairytale landscape with a myriad of waterfalls - spotting eagles, fish and various insects. The monastery itself is a very nice building, the rooms were nice with a balcony outside. The bar area and the pool contribute to make this a good place to relax and enjoy the slower pleasures of life. The food was mostly good, but somewhat variable.
It would be profitable for the overall experience with some improvement in the catering department - both at the hotel restaurant and in the associated cafe / "fast food restaurant". On our second day of breakfast the staff was less than attentive, it took a long time for them to notice that things were running out at the breakfast buffet and then replenishing these items. A higher quality throughout in food and service would match the surroundings better and make a stay here "absolutely fabulous".
An absolutely amazing experience!! The hotel itself is in a breathtaking old monastery. A nights stay includes a great tour of the monastery as well as admission into the amazing national park that it is situated right in the middle of. I cannot give this place a high enough rating.
Location and the sheer beauty of the mastery and grounds
Very disappointed with the evening dinner which the hotel did not charge for. Breakfast was much the same as dinner, which is a shame because the dining hall is stunning.
The hotel it self. Absolute fantastic building. The service was first class. The breakfast, far superior to any of the Paradores we have stayed out. The location within the park is superb. Very, very comfortable lounges and dining room.
Very nice building, nice park with waterfalls. Great pool area.
Food in restaurant was not great and coarses were rushed one after another. Staff in bar area was not very hospitable.
Language we need one speak English
Location, architecture, nature, peace and quiet.
The park. Well worth a trip in the autumn colours. The location of the hotel is, of course, extremely handy especially when travelling with children. The view from our balcony onto the Park, beautiful.
We were greeted by less than smiles at reception. Generally staff look pretty miserable, apart from one lady in Reception the following day, who did actually smile!. Staff don't seem very happy there!. The restaurant is very expensive a la carte, menu is 20€ but the food is nothing to write home about. Just ok. If it wasn't for the location I wouldn't recommend it.
Bad resturant & no more chosen . no place to stay at the night out of the hotel.
Amazing monastry, splendid atmothsphere, ideal park.
Rude staff in restaurant.
Historic site with fabulous park and very quite outside of visit time
Bed really to hard toilet very very noisy
The beautiful situation and the peace and quiet, except for see below.
The bathroom instalations were so loud that every time our neighbour flushed his toilet it was like an explosion. Not pleasant, especially during the night!!
beautiful monestary with comfortable large room and ensuite.plenty of choice for breakfast. The national park was great with lovely scenary and walks. reception staff spoke english wish was helpful. really enjoyed our two night stay on the way down to the costa blanca.
A long way off the Madrid highway. Make sure you have a map or sat nave. Arrived late due to bad weather on the ferry crossing. not a pleasant drive in the dark. found the bed a bit hard would not recommed the restaurant opposite the hotel.. the waitress was offhand and quite rude I thought. still enjoyed our visit though
Excellent surroundings, beautiful scenery.
No wifi in the rooms and slow wifi in the reception area.
The countryside is superb.Close to beautiful village of Ainsa. Outdoor pool and spa good.
